This year has been great. I have competed in our school’s boys’ softball team which made it into regional level. My local footy team made it into the grand final but we lost to Maribyrnong Park by 15 points. I am also getting a pool installed at my house which is AWESOME! This year I am also going to graduate into high school. My graduation is on the 15th of December. I am going to SSC. This year has been a lot of fun and I can’t wait to face high school and the challenges that follow.

Coburg District Athletics Day
Yesterday Pascoe Vale Primary School went to the Coburg District Athletics.
The competing schools were Pascoe Vale North, Pascoe Vale South, Coburg West, Newlands, Moreland, St Oliver’s and Coburg. Lots of my friends from football competed in the athletics. I only entered 1 event and that event was shot put. It was really hard because some of the kids could throw 9 metres! 2 of my fellow students KC and Daic and the 4×100 metre relay team made it through to the next stage which is Zone. I had a lot of fun because I had a day off school and our school won the most improved school in 2013. Coming from 11th last year to 3rd this year.
Election Campaign
On the 7th of September the politicians will do battle for the name Prime Minister. There are 2 main parties Liberal A.K.A the Coalition and the Labor Party. The head of Liberal is Tony Abbot and the leader of the Labor Party is Kevin Rudd.
There are many battles fought to get to Prime Minister and I’m not talking just the polls. There have been battles for the media because if they are on the news every night they will get free advertising. They need this to try to change the minds of the citizens of Australia to vote for them. I can’t really do anything to change the voting lines but I wish all the politics good luck in the up coming election.
Camp Waratah
Last week on Wednesday the grade 5/6s went to a camp to Waratah Bay.
On the bus I ate tonnes of lollies that my friends gave to me.
We stopped half way at Koo Wee Rup and we saw a man walking a piglet.
We had our snack at a park and we played poison ball with the teachers.
When we got there we started to go to check out what the cabins looked like.
I had all my friends in my cabin including Jarm, Lace, Andl, Desa, Ishg, Aleb, Jamd and Darc.
After we saw the cabins we went to have our lunch. After lunch we went to the rock pools. We had to walk a long way. I found about 20 crabs, 10 hold fasts and 3 starfish. I caught a crab and called it Jerry.
After the rock pools we had to walk all the way back to the camp which was about 2 or 3kms. When we got back we chilled out in the wreck room and played lots of foosball. Then we had to go back to our cabins to set up our beds. Then it was disco time. After the disco we went to bed.
The next day we did lots of activities like the long ropes, the nitro crossing, rock climbing and more. But my favourite activity was the giant swing.
On the last day we did the rest of the activities and then we packed up and left.
On the bus we ate lots more lollies and we watched How To Eat Fried Worms. It was funny and disgusting. When we got back it was really windy and while we were gone 2 of the trees at the playground had fallen over in the wind.
I had an awesome time at camp and I hope that we have lots of fun.
Sport Report 31/5
Today the Pascoe Vale footy team played a not very challenging game against Coburg. The scores were 90 to 6 in our favor. We only played 1 quarter because we were beating them by so much that they decided to forfeit. Some of the highlights were Jarm’s clearances, Lace’s marking and everybodies teamwork. I’d like to thank Mr F for coaching us.
Italian Day
Yesterday, the 29th of May Pascoe Vale Primary School had an Italian day. We did lots of different activities like Bocce, soccer, dancing and mask making. We also got to watch a play about Cenerentola (Cinderella). I think that the play was very well prepared and acted out well.
I think that my favourite parts of Italian day were the play and the spaghetti eating contest.
The spaghetti eating contest was very funny to watch because some people were getting spaghetti bolognas in their hair. The winners were Lace and Tral. Everybody had lots and lots of fun.
Mothers’ Day 100 Word Challenge
On mothers’ day I am going to help her with everything she does for my sister, my brother and I. I am also playing a footy game against Moonee Valley and hopefully win for my mum. I am going to give her gifts that we bought for her at the mothers’ day stall and also the kindle that we bought for her. A kindle is a portable machine that you can download any book onto to read. Then I am going to go to my grandma’s house to give her the Samsung Galaxy Ace plus we bought for her.
